  The room was nice and spacious but not particularly clean and the baby cot was in a horrendous state, after a ring to reception they sorted it out but not great as a first impression.

  Fantastic place. Had Royal Elite booking so exclusive restaurants and bars. Food very good and international drinks all inclusive in royal elite bars.

  An excellent three weeks at the Sandos Papagayo Hotel. Everyone from reception to waiting staff and the animation team were lovely. Thank you all for making our 40th anniversary memorable.

  Part of the Sandos chain and of good quality. A beach side location (beach accessed via stairs or lift unless you happen to be allocated one of the few beach level apartments). Facilities where all of good quality and the food was of a good standard, plentiful and varied. This is a large complex, built on many levels and can take some navigating to find your way around. Staff were very friendly.

  This hotel was beautiful. Quick check in.. all rooms in close reach of main reception. Food was nice, good variety and menu changed daily.. fusion restaurant lovely.. Oriental night was slightly disappointing as there was no curry!! However, Mexican night was amazing and the food was superb! Room was lovely (never went Royal Elite) but felt as if we never missed anything..and was cleaned daily. Staff really friendly, especially manageress of Fusion, who was very helpful when our booking was lost. Spa was nice, not too busy so could relax easily. All in all would highly recommend. Animation team were great with young ones. Tips: if you are sun worshipping, get the free towel from reception and reserve a sunbed.. certain points through the day, there were towels on ALL the sunbeds and I had nowhere to lie. (One guest told me people leave towels on sunbed all day but don't use the facility). . Teguise Market on a Sunday is a must!! Absolutely brilliant day out..we opted for local bus service but would advise booking through rep as this bus is really busy (and there only is 1). Brilliant holiday and beautiful weather

  The hotel has wonderful sea views and overall the hotel is impressive but is starting to show it's age.

  The food and setting for dinner was fantastic in the royal restaurant but they do tend to let things dry out under the lamps.

  Unless you have kids yourself you will find the constant music from the animation team blaring over speakers all day by the pool exceptionally grating...be warned. The pool area bring the largest negative about the hotel overall as there is little space and few sunbeds.
